"I am interested in making works that sit somewhere precariously between beautiful and ugly. That communicate sensitivity, fragility, anxiety and fear, and explore the intersubjective relationship of mother and child. The heightened internal fear of being close yet distant in the same breath. The work is a catharsis, a way to confront the discomfort."
