Architect working in River Studios
Matt Harkin is a post-graduate student at the Melbourne School of Design. He practices at the intersection of architecture and other art forms, including painting and sculpture. His work deals with such fundamental issues as shape, organisation and representation.
Matt produces work in a number of formats, including writings, architectural documentation and installation. In 2016 Matt did archival research on Australian immigrant architects and produced a body of work exhibited by the Robin Boyd Foundation.
He has worked as a building designer in Castlemaine and as a building demolisher in Melbourne, reusing and cataloguing waste material for new building projects.
