Our studios are best known as the home of the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne, but we have welcomed all kinds of activities from orchestral ensembles to salsa dancers. With a choice of spacious studios, a working kitchen and generous communal areas, the centre is an ideal venue for a wide variety of classes, workshops and community events. In the heart of Fitzroy, we are easily reached by public transport and offer a wealth of cafés, shops and amenities on our doorstep.
Dancers, acrobats and circus artists will appreciate the real wooden floor and high ceiling of our main studio (132 sq. m). The huge windows flooding the space with natural light will also appeal to photographers and event organisers.
Our second studio (125 sqm) has an operable wall so it can be divided in two, offering intimate spaces (which can be booked separately) for smaller classes or solo/duo rehearsals.
The generous communal area offers changing facilities, a working kitchen with dining table, and a breakout area warmly decorated with fresh flowers, carpets and tapestries.
Suitable for any type of gathering including but not limited to musical rehearsals, choir and band practices, dance classes and rehearsals, cooking demonstrations, dinner parties, playgroups, theatrical groups, movie nights, weekend workshops. Practice mats are available for floor-based warm-ups.
Discounts apply for multiple rehearsals, sub-lease contracts and full day/whole weekend hire, so ENQUIRE NOW for these options.
We ask that hirers leave the space as they find it. Alternatively, cleaning may be provided for an extra charge.
We are located just off Brunswick Street, near Johnston Street, in the heart of Fitzroy. Limited 2 and 4 hour parking is available in surrounding streets (note, the parking next to the centre is private and not available to clients).
