Space overview
The Black Box Theatre is a favourite for visiting theatre companies and individual artists and performers looking for an intimate performance space. Its sprung floor also makes it ideal for dance performance and rehearsal. It has the capacity to seat 80 to 100 people and a segmented stage that can be moved to alternate positions. The theatre is also air conditioned and soundproofed and has both sound (MIDAS desk) and lighting (12 channel MA Lighting Desk) systems. Also used for film screening and video production and recording, the Black Box Theatre is also suitable for the hosting of meetings, the launch of events and the delivery of training programs.
