Space overview

Originally the site of the Council Market, construction began on City Hall in 1914, the time of World War I. Despite the conflict, the building was completed by 1915. Its ample, majestic interior remains in the original condition, featuring tiered mezzanine seating, hardwood floors and an impressive pressed-tin roof.

Over the years this venue has hosted many events from theatre, boxing and wrestling, markets, debating, award ceremonies, fairs and school dances; each using a different configuration to suits the diverse activities.

City Hall could be ideal for makers markets, large scale live performance, sizeable exhibitions and group workshops.
