We are a unique hybrid organisation. We are members of Resartis, a worldwide network of artist residencies that follow the principle of offering artists, curators, and all manner of creative people the essential time and place away from the pressures and habits of every-day life, an experience framed within a unique geographic and cultural context in a heritage converted butter factory in a rural setting in Gippsland.
Through the passion of owners Carolyn Crossley and Sculptor Clive Murray-White the Cowwarr Art Space delivers a program comprising, residencies, exhibitions, performance and social engagement and has done so for over 20 years.
From $250/week per studio, Day rates apply for other activities on application.
4 Live/work Spaces, we take applications year round. Pets and children not encouraged, partners optional. (We have had some very well behaved dogs and some children, also well behaved)
3 of the studios have stairs and outdoor shared bathroom facilities.
All self funded - no financial support available
