Gertrude Glasshouse is Gertrude Contemporary's satellite exhibition space, located in the heart of Collingwood. Gertrude Glasshouse was designed by award-winning architects at SIBLING.
Gertrude Glasshouse is a beautiful venue that can accommodate small groups of up to twenty for meetings and larger groups of up to sixty in a cocktail style arrangement. The space is available for commercial venue hire arrangements including: meetings, launches or cocktail events.
Events are held within the setting of our engaging program of contemporary art exhibitions created by Melbourne-based artists who are part of Gertrude Contemporary's two year studio program located at our primary premises in Preston South. Our exhibition program for the year can be found on our website. Outside of the exhibition program there are opportunities for more flexible commercial venue hire arrangements.
Please note that catering and related hire and staffing costs are not included in the price. Additional costs may be incurred depending on event requirements - please contact us for a complete quote for your event.
Gertrude has an existing limited liquor license for the space for events during the times 3-8pm Thursday to Saturday. Arrangements for one-off events that fall outside the licence parameters can be negotiated however are subject to an additional fee to cover the cost of the temporary licence extension.
Street parking is available in the surrounding streets.
