Heathcote Cultural Precinct

    Heathcote Cultural Precinct offers venues for hire within a range of historic buildings, suitable for artist classes, workshops, meetings, seminars, theater performances, art exhibitions and functions. The Administration Building contains three workshop spaces that artists can hire to run workshops and classes:

    • The Ceramic Workshop contains five ceramic wheels, bench space, drying racks and a wet area, with a capacity of 10-12 people.
    • The Textile Workshop contains 10 sewing machines and 2 over-lockers, with the capacity for 10-12 people.
    • The Painting / Printmaking Workshop has a wet area, a large workbench and stools, and the capacity for 12-15 people.

    The Kitchen Building offers high heritage ceilings and a small kitchen. With a capacity of 70 standing or 60 seated guests, the main room is set up in a classroom style which can be rearranged to suit your needs. Perfect for a theater production, this building can also be hired at a special rate for a two-week art exhibition. The Swan House Building has carpeted flooring, air conditioning and a full size kitchen.

    The Swan House Community Room has a capacity of 50 standing or 30 seated guests, with doors opening out into a fully enclosed courtyard. The Swan House Meeting Room has a capacity of 14 people, perfect for meetings and small groups. All buildings are situated on the historic Point Heathcote site, close to Heathcote Museum & Gallery, artist studios (currently fully occupied), a unique children's playground and picturesque views over the Swan River.

    Pricing Terms

    Hirers are invoiced according to the length of their booking, with a two-hour minimum charge. Prices vary depending on the venue and room, please visit the Heathcote Museum & Gallery website for a full list of charges.

    Lease Conditions

    All rooms have a two hour minimum hire. Set up and clean up must be done within the time of hire, not outside of the booking. A refundable bond will also be charged. Please contact Heathcote Museum & Gallery to enquire about availability and organise a tour of the facilities.
