Peter Kovacsy Studio

Type of space: Art Gallery, Darkroom, Design Studio, Multi-use Space, Visual Art Studio, Manufacturing/Fabrication Space

Ever dreamt of going on a holiday to picturesque location with a fully equipped studio and workshop - this could be just what your've waiting for!   Pemberton is a small timber milling town in the midst of the Karri forest in the Southern Forest Region of Western Australia.

As a practicing artist and designer maker I will be on hand to provide professional development, tuition or mentoring if you need support. The facility is set up for making sculpture, objects and functional art, utilising cast glass, timber and metal. The studio has a gallery, office, workshop and photographic darkroom. The workshop is equipped with glass fusing and casting furnaces, fine wood working benches + hand tools, timber machining plant, light metal work hand tools + TIG welder.

If your seriously into film photography - the studio features a traditional  "wet darkroom" for black-and-white silver gelatin film developing and fibre based paper print making.

My art work is represented in national and international collections including the Art Gallery of Western Australia and Detroit Institute of Art. I draw inspiration from observations concerning the phenomena of light on landscape and forest surrounding my studio in Pemberton.
