Polymorph Studios is located on the first floor of a shared studio warehouse, just off the corner of Glenhuntly and Kooyong Roads, where you can find a number of cafes (we're sitting right above one) and restaurants as well as ample on and off street parking.
Our open space design studio features a cyclorama at the far end, opposite end to where the designers work. The is fitted with skylights to allow natural light to hit the cyclorama if desired, and can be blocked - though due to the nature of the building, complete darkness isn't viable. The cyclorama is 3.6m wide x 3m long, with a further 2.4 meters of white space at the open end.
Our studio can be used for fashion or advertising photography, and we frequently use it for video production - though the space isn't soundproof, so we suggest getting in touch if you're planning to shoot video. We have three 200watt continuous lighting units and four small flash heads which, can be used at your discretion, for no additional fee; as well a selection of reflectors, bounces, styrofoam walls and soft-boxes; though if you have something specific in mind, please contact us prior to booking.
Cameras, lenses and digital film gear are available for an additional fee.
There is a shared meeting room as well as a funky retro reception area where you can chill out away from the shot. There are two smaller kitchenettes as well as plenty of bathrooms available.
We are eminently affordable, and will be on-site during the shoot, to assist with the equipment if needed. Due to the work/space arrangement, complete privacy for the use of the space is not viable.
The studio is available for hire 7 days a week between 9am – 6pm (before or after hours available upon request) with plenty of free parking right outside the back door.
Balance of payment is required prior to use of the studio.
Leasee will need to sign a contract of lease for period of use, which will claim responsibility for any damage done to equipment or the facility; as well as indemnify the studio against any loss or injuries, both from the leasee's perspective as well as any other staff or clients they invite to the studio.
We recommend visiting the studio prior to booking to ensure that facilities, natural light and equipment will be suitable for your needs prior to booking.
If the premises or equipment are damaged during the period of lease, the leasee will be charged the cost of repairs/replacement (whichever is the lesser). Please check exact equipment availability with the studio at time of booking.
Meeting room, and reception area are provided on a first-come-first served basis in the complex(though we may be able to reserve use if ample notification is provided).
The studio is a shared space with 1-2 designers working at the opposite end of the studio. We will remain out of the way, or can provide assistance or advice, but we will be required to be present during the term of the leasee's occupancy.
Ample free 2 hour parking and some full day parking available, directly behind complex.
