The semi remote location of Sisters Beach House may suit a painter, writer, illustrator, composer, jeweler, landscape/environmental photographer or artist-in-development who is seeking a quiet environment.
If you seek inspiration from the natural environment, this could be the place for you. Sisters Beach House is one of the few remaining original beach houses at Sisters Beach located inside stunning Rocky Cape National Park on the north coast of Tasmania. Across the road from the beach the house has been renovated and is fully furnished. It has a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining and three bedrooms. The house has a sunny north-facing aspect with a large front deck and undercover BBQ and dining.
There is also a sizeable lock-up garage behind the house with good natural light, power point, concrete floor, large roller door and separate entrance through a side door. Dimensions are 5.8m (depth) a 4m (width) x 2.5m (height) as detailed under 'Space Dimensions' on this site. This may be used by the artist for their practice.
The weekly rent does not include electricity or firewood (the house has an excellent, efficient and cosy wood fire heater).
The house is available for 4 weeks (minimum) - 6 weeks (maximum) during the period May to August. A letter of agreement (not commercial lease) and a security deposit would be required. Sisters Beach House normally operates as a holiday rental however, we would like to encourage artist residencies each year between May and August.
Uncovered parking available in driveway. A car is essential as there is no public transport. How to get to Sisters Beach, Tasmania (north coast)- By Sea Spirit of Tasmania: Port Melbourne to Devonport (10 hours). Sisters Beach House is a 1 hour 10 mi
