    Located in the newly restored Young Husband Building at No. 10 Elizabeth St, Kensington, The Fox Darkroom boasts generous workshop space, darkroom for hire, great coffee and retro, New York style inspiration in the heart of Melbourne.

    Built in the late 1800’s and home to the Young Husband Wool Store, Number 10 is a historic Melbourne landmark located in the industrial heart of Kensington.

    This heritage building on Elizabeth Street has stylish ‘Soho’ charm with exposed brick interiors, original column fixtures and loft style design. The impressive vintage exterior and unique cobblestone lane way have been featured as key locations in numerous Hollywood films, TV dramas, commercials, and more recently, The Block.

    Creativity has found a new home as this building currently nests a colourful and diverse range of established, predominantly arts based businesses comprising of: independent artists, production companies, furniture designers, virtual reality programmers, costume businesses, theatrical producers, DJ’s, event management companies, performance spaces, casting agents, and more.

    Lease Conditions

    We are seeking 1 creative to be part of our amazing space. Currently our studio is occupied by Fox Darkroom founder, Tom Goldner one one other using desk space. We want to preserve the open space we have created and don't want to over-occupy. $80 per week including internet, great coffee, outgoings and all the other magic that makes this place what it is.

    Our space is also regularly rented out to film, television and photographic productions. All enquiries welcome
