Abbotsford Convent - Performing Arts Spaces

The Abbotsford Convent is a unique and striking historic site that operates as a vibrant arts, culture and learning precinct. The site offers tenancy for art studios and office spaces, venue hire for meetings, conferences, workshops and rehearsals, dedicated performing arts R&D spaces, a function space as well as a contemporary art gallery, restaurant, bakery and café and two bars.

The Abbotsford Convent has a number of venues which are suitable for performing arts rehearsals, R&D, workshops and classes. These spaces are located in the Rosina building.

Rosina Auditorium -A large hall available on an hourly basis for rehearsals, classes and workshops. The space has dance mirrors, dance bars, polished chipboard floors and a stage with a deep backstage area. This area does not include storage.

Rosina Yellow Room-A small room of about 40sq meters. This bright and refurbished space is ideal for small group or individual rehearsals, classes and workshops. This area does not include storage.

Rosina Dorms-These two large spaces have recently been renovated to form two spectacular rooms for the performing arts. Each room is available periods 1-12 weeks. Performing arts companies can book exclusive access for research and development. The spaces include lift access, storage and access to a shared office / kitchenette.
