Originally established on Mayday Hill, the buildings in the arts Precinct were part of the Mayday Hill Asylum, est. in 1880.
The Beechworth Arts Council occupies 3 of the oldest buildings;
the STORE [exhibition, short term residency studio 3 months max, gallery venue];
the TOYWORKSHOP [12 studios]; and
the KIOSK [workshop/ 4 studios]
All are single storey venues, predominantly white, high ceilings, excellent natural light.
