J-Studios Artists Community

J-Studios is a multi-disciplinary artist-run artist complex inhabiting the buildings of the former St Joseph's College in Fitzroy North. Facilities include studios (for a wide range of disciplines including sculpture, painting, print-making, performance, textiles, animation, photography, creative writing etc), drama theatre, assembly hall, gallery (The Library Artspace), wood-work shed, shared access print studio and shared courtyard.

The hall, gallery and theatre are available for hire (see our other listings below) or contact the studios during office hours (wed-fri, 12-6pm).

The Studios hold Public Liability Insurance. First Aid is available in the studios office (located in the gallery). Studio access is 24 hrs. Toilets (including disabled) located at the rear of the property.
