WARDLOW Art Residence embodies an orientation to the studio and production side of art as opposed to the commercial apparatus of art, not withstanding the later. Established as an artist's gallery, WARDLOW is a place where art goes on and is not just shown and sold.
Adding value to the gallery convention, WARDLOW is a place where artists can temporarily live - refining ideas, developing and exhibiting works. Local and international artists are sponsored to live in Wardlow's Fitzroy warehouse and utilise their own studio and gallery. WARDLOW hosts 4 shows a year in which the gallery is open to the public.
