The Artspace was originally a court house from 1899-1972 before becoming a library in 1972. In 1996 it transformed into a theatre.

The Specimen Cottage Youth Arts Space was initiated by the Bendigo Youth Arts Network and provides ongoing opportunities for disadvantaged youth to access and engage in the Arts.
