Space overview
Black Cicada Studio was established as gallery with a co-creative working jewellery studio with a focus on locally handcrafted works. Our gallery is a versatile room where we have curated solo & group exhibitions as well workshops and demonstrations by artists exhibiting.
Our jewellery workshop has 3 available benches currently with 1 set up for polishing, setting and as a standard jewellery bench. Amenities included: kitchen, bathroom, cleaning sink, and rear access to the property with a ramp. The studio space is 2.3m x 2.3m and has 2 connected jewellery benches available. We have a gallery space shared with the jewellery studio which can be utilised by the artist or jeweller to showcase their pieces.
The property itself is located just down from the main section of Enmore Road near Enmore Park.
We are in a group of 3 shops, a café with delicious food and coffee and a bespoke tailoring business. With a bus stop right outside the front of our shop and Enmore park on the next corner as well being situated on beer trail. It's a prime location.
