Ceramic Artist and Photographer working in River Studios
Georgia Martin is an emerging ceramic artist and photographer, completing her Diploma of Ceramics at Holmesglen Tafe in 2015.
Georgia's range of ceramics uses wheel thrown, hand building and slip casting techniques. Her pieces are quiet and minimal, drawing inspiration from the Australian natural and suburban environment. She is interested in the interaction of human relationships, daily routines and sublime moments in the mundane.
How do you use the space?
When I arrive in the morning I usually start by cleaning and tidying the space. What follows is planning my day ahead, writing a 'to do' list as to what I would like to achieve for the day or week ahead. This keeps my mind focused. The day is then spent making in the studio, usually on one or two projects or ideas.
