I am an emerging artist working in drawing, collage, found objects, digital imagery and painting. My work is about thoughts and observations of the world around us. Through a process of looking, collecting and re-ordering objects to reveal patterns, relationships and differences in the everyday, I build a new narrative which is then folded back into the work.
I am currently interested in abstract forms, and use colour, shape and texture to communicate my observations of the urban environment. My imagery is derived from my own archives of photographs, and found magazines and objects.
I have recently completed an Advanced Diploma of Visual Art and volunteer fortnightly at Heide Museum of Modern Art.
What attracted you to the space and what makes your studio suitable for your practice?
River Studios appeals to me as an artist because there are many other artists working there and I will be able to build my creative practice and add to my network of arts professionals. I will be able to share knowledge and expertise with others and learn new ways to work. I will also be able to network with other industries and services.
