Benjamin Reeve is a mixed media artist based in Australia.
His current work is heavily influenced by both his upbringing as a street artist in Brisbane and his formative years in Papua New Guinea. His adoption of the tufting gun accommodates these influences well.
Reeve began working with oils before transitioning to aerosol cans in the late 1980s. His artwork from this period was predominately character based and regularly sighted on Brisbane’s train network until around the year 2000. His creative works have featured in many Australian and international productions from large scale murals to big budget films.
He now lives and works in Brisbane where he operates his tufting company: Tuft City.
