Daniel is inspired by the art, alchemy and mindfulness of ceramics practice and hopes to reflect this in the functional and sculptural pieces he creates. Themes explored include static movement utilising form, glaze and light, tactual sensation, and repeated forms.
Daniel’s style is influenced by traditional and contemporary Japanese ceramics, the functionality and practical form of earthenware pots made by hand across Africa and South Asia, and Western artistic styles.
