    The Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) is the pre-eminent Australian organisation for the exhibition of contemporary photo-based arts.

    In April 2005, CCP relocated to purpose built galleries at 404 George Street, Fitzroy. Designed by leading Australian architect Sean Godsell, CCP quickly built a reputation as one of the most impressive exhibition spaces in the country.

    CCP is an ideal setting for functions, celebrations and meetings. Easily accessible by public transport, CCP is only 2km from the CBD. An exquisite, functional and contemporary space, CCP consists of four separate exhibition areas, a furnished education space (which can act as a functional meeting room), and a retail store.

    The modern interior, unique surrounds and cutting edge photo-media exhibitions offer a prime setting for organisations and businesses to hold functions and entertain clients.

    CCP can provide accessible and informative tours of exhibitions and artists’ floor talks.

    As CCP is open to the public Wednesday to Friday 11am – 5pm, and Saturday to Sunday 12pm - 5pm, the use of the space is subject to availability.

    Pricing Terms

    Schedule of Fees

    All costs are ex. GST

    Venue Hire Costs

    Half Day (Monday to Friday) $1,250

    Full Day (Monday to Friday) $2,000

    Half Day (Saturday to Sunday) $1,400

    After Hours (6pm - 10pm evening event) $1,400

    Additional After Hours (10pm - 2am) $350/hour

    Staffing Costs

    Gallery staff will be on duty during events to ensure the best experience for your guests, and to maintain security of the artworks and the Gallery facility. Venue Hire Costs quoted are inclusive of one CCP staff member and volunteer invigilation, and a regulation clean. Costs are not inclusive of CCP staff setting up for an event (such as the arrangement of chairs, tables, and AV), nor for additional cleaning required post-event, or security should the nature of the event require it. Should the event be for more than 70 guests, CCP will require an additional staff member present. CCP will also charge additional staff hours should the Hirer request CCP staff set up the event, or should the event not conclude within the booking duration.

    Storage Costs

    Storage of equipment and materials pre- and post- a booking is by prior agreement only, as CCP has limited storage capacity. Should storage be required and agreed, the costs of storage are as below.

    Additional Benefits

    CCP can add value to your private event or corporate function through the provision of guided tours of current exhibitions. If you would like a tour (up to 30 minutes) provided by senior Gallery staff or a

    participating artist, costs are indicated below:

    The Gallery does not have onsite caterers, however please discuss your needs with Gallery staff for recommendations.

    Special Requirements

    CCP events can accomodate groups from 25 to 200 guests.

    Spaces can be utilised for a range of purposes, from cocktail events, to banquet dinners, and theatre-style seated lectures, performances, and promotional presentations.

    EQUIPMENT

    The Gallery has a selection of furniture suitable for seated seminars and presentations, along with PA, lectern, projector, urn. Costs noted in the full Schedule of Fees.

    CCP Venue Hire is subject to the acceptance of CCP’s Terms and Conditions. Terms and Conditions are available on request within the Venue Hire Agreement.
