Textile Art Community Art Space
Type of space: Makerspace (Shared open space for making), Markets, Multi-use Space, Retail Space, Visual Art Studio, Warehouse, Co-Working Space
The artists and makers at Textile Art Community Art Space (TACAS) create their artworks using household and industrial waste as well as natural materials. They reclaim and recycle discarded textiles and found objects, challenging themselves to find new ways to use what others have discarded.
TACAS was born from the idea that everyone is creative – that the act of making things mindfully, in the company of others, brings joy.
Located on the corner of Orthla & Korong Rd in Heidelberg West industrial estate, we have a thriving Art Space where artists work in their own studios, as well as in collaboration in the workshop space.
