Space overview
Place & Space was born during lockdowns. We wanted to recreate a similar sense of comfort that a home has, whilst also creating a creative office space to escape the home from. We are an inclusive workspace where respect is paramount. We are social, love music, wine and one another!
Our front room is light filled with an uninterrupted Western view, with old timber floorboards & exposed brick wall with light and airy furnishings. This is our creative co-working space area, with share desks available for desk based businesses. All members are provided with a designated desk, and an authentic Eames mesh 'Group' office chair. Our rear room, also floor-boarded with tall ceilings, is sectioned off by pale linen curtains into a corridor, a meeting room, and a private space. The private space is currently available for small businesses to lease on a month to month basis. Our entrance is through our kitchenette, which has a sink, fridge, microwave, small pantry and dishwasher.
Our space is above a bar on Brunswick street, Fitzroy. Our access is via a laneway at the rear, making it a hidden secret of the area!
Unfortunately, due to it being on a 3rd storey of an old building, the space has limitations in its accessibility. We are spoilt for choice with cafes, restaurants and shops all around, as well as public transport.
