About
I am a fibre/textile artist with a background in science, pottery, taxidermy, literature and music that has collided to produce a 2D and 3D world "seen so differently" that whimsical, fibre puns deliver a metaphorical "whack on the side of the head" to the viewer. My intention is to move the viewer to a point beyond merely thinking "outside the box" to where there is no box in the first place. My fibre/textile works are heavily sculpted, embellished, mixed-media and range from a drone-eye view of the Australian landscape and endangered wildlife to English-idioms expressed in fibre and formal portraits. I can design and create bespoke pieces for you if want a personalised fibre work.
