About
Too Friendly explores art and design through the medium of ceramics using the practice of slip casting; a ceramic forming technique using a liquid clay body slip that is poured into plaster molds, forming a clay body.
The ceramic pieces are inspired by concepts of nostalgia, tactile sensations, humour, and comfort, with the intent to create lifelong sentimental pieces. Using a mix of traditional and new school techniques to perfect our production, such as 3D scanning, digital modelling and 3D Printing, we slip cast using porcelain and clay stain pigments to showcase the raw material and complexities of ceramics.
