De-Construction/ Re-Construction Exhibition
De-Construction/Re-Construction exhibition by nine Creativity Cluster women artists at Dirty Dozen
The Creativity Cluster group of nine women artists chose the theme De-Construction/Re-Construction because we are experiencing it on the very doorstep of the Dirty Dozen. We each work in a different medium, including oils, acrylic, water colour, textile collage, mixed media, mosaics, ceramics, digital photography and found object assemblage. We are experimenting with the theme, each in our own way, by responding to the questions: How can I represent the current de-construction and re-construction in the city through my art? In what other ways is this theme symbolised in our culture more widely, or in different cultures? In what ways do my works show how they are broken down into, or are built back up again, from their separate parts?
