Art Lark
Space overview
We want to invite the community into the world of creative ventures and to inspire them into creative art play. The role of artist and audience is a symbiotic relationship as the purchase of art can be based on the experience with and as a souvenir of its creator. Doing art also helps access joy.
The art space is open plan. People can walk through the gallery/studio to the classroom/collaborative area/kitchen+courtyard at the back. There is one room that can be semi-private/shared (it is lockable) that is currently being used for storage so as not to clutter the gallery/working spaces. We have two split system air-conditioning/heating units, and the luxuries of a bathroom and well set out kitchen, a washup sink/kitchenette, and two toilets (one for disabled access) The space has carpets or floating floorboards but I have drop sheets and moveable rubber backed mats that you can use to protect them.
Art Lark is located at the small Koornang Road shops close to Packer Park and North Road. It is opposite a very popular café (Left Field) and their coffee queue sees our shop window. There is a vet, Pilates, a real estate agent and a barber in our group of shops.

Access Hours
The space is available every day and evening for the working artists. We also want to invite the local community into the space, so we are hoping to have the studio visibly open to the public for extended hours. This is a new not-for-profit venture so we will adapt according to needs/wants. I am an artist/printmaker/painter and would like someone to roster opening hours. The space also has a gallery and classroom space.
