In the heart of Thornbury, ‘Artists of Merri Creek’ is a collaborative co-working space and work-home for 8 Melbourne-based creatives.
The space features beautiful big windows overlooking a quiet residential street. Previously used as an art studio, the room has great light and the perfect soundscape for creative inspiration. The space has 8 desks with partitioning for each artist to have their own space while still allowing the option of collaboration. Our space is designed to give creatives a place separate from their own homes to dedicate to their craft. Minimising distraction and having a place specifically for the creation of art aims to hone in on and expand our practices. We aim to build a group of artists from a range of disciplines and currently have writers, film directors and film producers.
In the heart of Thornbury, the office is a 2-min-walk from the bus, 9-mins from the 11 and 1 tram and 15-mins from Thornbury railway. It's a 2-min bike ride from Gilbert St shops and cafes and a 10-min walk to St George's Rd.
It's located on a quiet residential street while still being close to the bustle of the inner-north!
