Space overview
Underground cellar below shop, suitable for storage of items no bigger than 1m square. It is a dry space, no dampness, great security. Could be used for a work space if you would like to improve space, has limited access due to small stair/opening from level above, no big furniture etc. 2 year lease
It has panels of wood/doors stored in the space already. Floors are uneven and old, bare brick walls. Surprisingly dry and not too dusty. Decent lighting plus natural light from footpath above (glass bricks). Stairs are short and steep, heavy trap door can be closed and covered above with rug for great security. If needing regular access can be left open at all times. A very heavy door that is held up with pole, therefore needs muscle to open and close! We feel its suited for storage of small items, however open to someone using it as a functional space.
Located under a shop on Elgin St, near the corner of Drummond Street, Carlton. Great location!
