Space overview
Experiment 29 is where art and design works can be created, tested, and exhibited seamlessly. With connections to the world's leading science and technology institutes, we champion transdiciplinary projects. There are 2 design studios and a large exhibition / display area with street frontage.
Both studio spaces have half-frosted floor to ceiling glass walls on one side providing natural light; there is a connecting lockable sliding glass door between them, allowing both areas to become 1 larger studio. Freshly painted, lots of power points. Studio 1 is street / exhibition room facing. The exhibition room is 5.5m x 4.2 m with a large shopfront window, and unique terrazzo tiled flooring.
Experiment 29 is in one of the most vibrant and dynamic areas of inner Melbourne, surrounded by lots of excellent local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, with a print gallery, a brewery, and a record shop within walking distance. There are 2 tram lines and bus lines within 50 metres and a train station 200 metres from the door. The No. 19 tram on Sydney road has a conveniently located tram stop nearby, Stop 29.
