A well established fashion atelier shared with an experienced bespoke designer, offering a calm, thoughtfully equipped environment for focused creative work. Ideal for fashion and textile practitioners who value craft, quality, and a respectful shared studio rhythm.
The atelier is a light filled first floor studio designed for serious making. It includes industrial sewing machines by JUKI and Brother, a King Tex four thread overlocker, a semi industrial ironing station, a large 5.8 m x 1.85 m cutting and pattern making table, Mannequins, plus a hand sewing table with task lighting and generous natural light. Exposed brick walls, large windows with leafy outlooks, thread racks, hanging space for garments, and spacious worktables create a functional yet welcoming workspace. There is also a small in studio showroom, changeroom and fitting area suitable for client consultations. Shared amenities include a kitchenette and toilet, used with another small skincare business. The layout is open yet clearly zoned, supporting both independent work and occasional client interaction, with fresh air and good ventilation throughout.
Located in Fitzroy, the studio sits within one of Melbourne’s most culturally rich and creative neighbourhoods. The area is known for its strong design community, excellent coffee and food options, and easy access to public transport via nearby tram routes.
The studio is accessed through a lively hair salon below, adding to the sense of creative energy while remaining quiet and private upstairs.

This is a working atelier, so a lived in creative environment is expected in the making area behind the curtains. Pins and threads are part of the process!
The showroom and fitting space however is kept presentable for fittings and occasional and sometimes unexpected client visits.
Currently the studio is typically in use 2 and a half days per week, with my assistant attending one of these days. Of course this can change depending on work.
Our hours are generally 10.30 am to 5.30 pm and mainly Thursdays and Fridays. The space is usually fully available on Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and Mondays, offering flexibility and private times for the right person who is keen to share but we also love company of other inspired creatives and there is plenty of space to overlap.
