Here Space is a dynamic artist studio hub and creative coworking space, thoughtfully revitalised from a mid-century built former textile and print factory. With 33 studios across 800sqm, designed by artists for artists, our creative community is diverse, welcoming and supportive.
Studio 1F is a 9.5 sqm space in a recently refurbished 252 sqm warehouse—the ground floor of the Here Space complex—shared with a maximum of 12 other artists. This semi-enclosed space, within was was once The Boardroom of this former textile factory site features freshly painted white walls and ceiling, light grey painted non-slip concrete floors, 3 bays of pine shelving for your exclusive use, and is shared with 3 artists in 2 other studios only. Enjoy access to further shared facilities on site including a tool workshop, pop up members gallery, kitchens, bathrooms, and artists' lounges. Pricing includes all utilities, Wi-Fi, and common area cleaning.
Tucked away in a quiet location, yet still very central to Brisbane city south, Here Space is located less than 3 kms from the Southbank Cultural Precinct, QAGOMA, and the QCAD, near Brisbane’s iconic Gabba stadium (Woolloongabba/East Brisbane). It is easy to access via public transport (40m to bus stop) and a short walk to several cafes.

With a dedicated studio or desk, Here Space offers 24/7 access to its workspace, once public liability insurance details have been provided, allowing you to work at any hour that suits your schedule. Casual memberships and day passes grant access during regular business hours only.
Here Space is a inclusive community of creatives, working in an LGBTQIA+ and disability led space, comprised of painters, photographers, sculptures, writers, designers, textile and installation artists, artist-researchers, performers, theatre-makers and many who defy easy definition.
