Midland Junction Arts Centre (MJAC) is a historical venue situated in the heart of Midland, 18km north-east of the Perth CBD. Opened in 1904 as a technical school, the building now operates as a vibrant visual and performing arts facility. A curated exhibition program across the three galleries is complemented by regular workshops for all ages, an artist in residence program and a range of cultural events. CLASSROOMS We have three light-filled classrooms. Classroom 7 is 50.7m2 and features wooden floors and the original school blackboard. Classroom 3 is 52.6m2, and 5 50m2, both are carpeted. Classroom 5 & 7 are adjoining and connected by a door. Each room is fitted with ceiling fans. In additon to classrooms Midland Junction Arts Centre offers a 140-seat theatre, ceramics and print studios, a function room as well as a range of work spaces for artists, workshops and meetings. See our other listings for more information. FACILITIES All rooms include access to the kitchenette. The kitchenette features an instant cold or boiling hot water tap, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. We also have cups, glasses and plates available for use. FURNITURE Trestle tables, small round café style tables, small stools, chairs, whiteboards and projector screens can be provided on request. A projector is also available to hire for $50 a day. ACCESS MJAC is open to the public Wednesday - Friday 10am - 5pm, Saturday 11am-3pm. Access is available outside of these hours, but requires the payment of a bond.
