Space overview
Platform Arts is a not-for-profit multi arts space located in the arts precinct of Geelong, on the corner of Little Malop St and Gheringhap St. Our facilities include a fully functioning black box theatre (seating 128), two dressing rooms, and a rehearsal room.
With its generous size, multi-form adaptability and retractable seating bank, our Performance Space is suitable for presentations, rehearsals, performances (theatre, dance, music and more), screenings, conferences and symposiums. Ascending the terrazzo stairs to meet the golden hue of the yellow paned window features, our performance space foyer doubles as our vibrant Gallery Two space, offering audiences a pre-show experience. With high ceilings and art deco features, quality theatrical audio and lighting, our performance space has everything you need to execute a standout event. A kitchenette is located adjacent to the Rehearsal Space and includes sink, kettle, bar fridge and microwave. The kitchenette is stocked with standard tea and coffee supplies. Any additional cleaning required for the kitchenette will be charged as an on-cost to the hirer.
Platform Arts is located in the heart of Geelong's arts precinct, alongside Geelong Gallery and Geelong Arts Centre. We're also a stone's throw from Little Malop St and its renowned cafes, restaurants and bars.
Platform Arts is a 5 minute walk from Geelong Railway Station and major bus interchanges. Paid parking is also available nearby.

Platform opening hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday-Friday, and 10am-3pm on Saturday. Additional opening hours are subject to performance dates and after-hours access can be arranged.

Train: Arrive at Geelong Station and walk up Gheringhap Street. We are located on the corner of Gheringhap Street and Little Malop Street. Bus: Geelong has an extensive bus network with most terminating at Geelong Station. These include bus routes 19, 20, 22,24, 25, 30, 31, 32, 40, 41, 42, 43, 50, 51, 55, 56, 60 and 61. Please see PTV for more details. Bike: Bike racks are located right out the front of Platform on Gheringhap Street and Little Malop Street.
Parking
Metered street parking is available throughout central Geelong. Commercial car parks are located on Gheringhap Street.
