Space overview
Shop Gal is a shop, Gallery and Workshop space run by Tara Whalley. This is the open plan upstairs space which is popular for photoshoots, private events and workshops. It also has an iconic kitchen and bathroom.
The space is comfy and elevated with arch windows looking over Johnston st. If you are wanting to bring a sizable object- please check with us in advance to make sure it will fit up the stairs. We have table and stools (18-20) for everyone to sit/work at, plus there is a wall to wall couch under the windows for guests to relax on (we just ask that you try not to spill anything on the fabric!). You are more than welcome to use the kitchen. Feel free to chill drinks/food in the fridge/ice bucket. There is glassware as well as plates and cutlery for you to use as well. Please place any used dishes in the sink so we know what needs to be cleaned. Bathroom located upstairs 25 cocktail glasses, 3 mugs, 6 teaspoons, 6 forks, 6 knives, 6 spoons, 9 dinner plates, 4 bowls, 4 serving bowls, 2 serving spoons, 3 cooking knives, Corkscrew, measuring jug, cups and spoons , 6 trestle tables and plain table cloths, 20 chairs + couch, oven, stovetop, fridge, microwave, kettle
Shop Gal is within walking distance of Fitzroy's best cafe's and nightlife.

Parking
There is ample free 1h parking on Johnston st, with no limit after 12:30noon on Saturday and all day Sunday. There are many 2 hour free spots on Gore st opposite Aldi of surrounding side streets. Paid parking is available at Aldi.
