Sleepless is a three-room recording and multimedia studio in Footscray designed for both weekly residencies and casual sessions. Weekly residents lock in a fixed day and time each week, creating a consistent home base to write, record, rehearse, mix, score or edit without booking chaos. The studio includes a synth & piano room for writing and pre-production, a focused control room for recording and mixing, and a warm live room with a floating “cloud” ceiling for tracking and rehearsals. Guitars, bass, drum kit, hardware synths and keys, quality microphones, monitoring, PA, lighting and projection are on hand so you can walk in and get straight to work. Casual hire is available for one-off sessions and short runs, and residencies are available for artists and producers wanting a regular Footscray base.
The studio is in the heart of Footscray, a short walk from Footscray Station, cafes, and late-night food and bars, with easy access by public transport and nearby parking.
Sleepless is also part of a wider local arts ecosystem, supporting artists and creative activity in Footscray year-round (including the annual Sleepless Footscray Festival).
