Sleepless Studios is a three-room production and recording space in Footscray for people who want a regular creative base. Long-term hire is set up as a fixed weekly slot, billed monthly, so you can settle into a consistent routine without the chaos of one-off bookings. The studio includes a synth and piano writing room, a focused control room for recording and mixing, and a live room for tracking and rehearsal. There is plenty of gear on site, including drums, guitars, bass, synths, keys, microphones, monitoring, PA, lighting and projection, so most people can walk in and get straight to work. BYO gear is welcome, and storage can be arranged for long-term hirers. The space suits writing, production, recording, rehearsal prep, teaching, editing and score work. Casual sessions are also available. Enquire with your preferred day/time and roughly how many hours you’re after, and we can suggest the best option or tee up a walkthrough.
The studio is in the heart of Footscray, a short walk from Footscray Station, cafes, and late-night food and bars, with easy access by public transport and nearby parking.
Sleepless is also part of a wider local arts ecosystem, supporting artists and creative activity in Footscray year-round (including the annual Sleepless Footscray Festival).
