Sobu is a luxury two-level content studio in Bulimba, Brisbane, combining a classic photography studio downstairs with a styled lifestyle space, podcast room and private balcony upstairs. Designed for shoots, content, workshops and intimate events.
Sobu is a purpose-built, two-level studio designed from the ground up for content creation. Downstairs features polished concrete floors, raw industrial ceilings, full-height concrete and white walls, a movable backdrop wall, built-in seating, change room and roller door access - a true classic studio with elevated finishes. Upstairs is a light-filled, open-plan lifestyle space styled to feel like a real home: kitchen, dining, living and workspace zones in one seamless layout, plus a private podcast/office room. Large skylights and soft natural light flow throughout, opening onto a private balcony with outdoor seating. Every area is shoot-ready, flexible and intentionally designed.
Sobu is located in the architecturally designed Karthina Lane precinct in Bulimba, just minutes from Brisbane’s inner city.
The area feels calm, elevated and creative, with beautiful surrounding architecture, cafés and easy access to main roads. The studio is a short 2 min drive or 10 min walk from bustling Oxford St, with restaurants, shops and a community atmosphere.
It’s a quiet, considered location that feels tucked away, yet highly accessible.

Sobu is a self-serve studio designed to give guests full creative freedom and privacy. One booking includes access to the entire space - downstairs studio, upstairs lifestyle areas, podcast room and balcony - allowing multiple looks in a single session.
The studio is ideal for branding shoots, product photography, Reels, workshops, strategy days and intimate events, with memberships and add-ons available for frequent users.
