TERRAIN
Space overview
A calm and grounded work environment inTERRAIN’s private studio that nurtures contemplative thinking and collaboration within a biophilic space shared by a collective of likeminds.
TERRAIN’s studio is an intimate, thoughtfully designed and multi-award winning space adjoining our bookshop and gallery. It features 8 private, secure desks (1m x 0.8m), natural lime-plaster walls, Bespoke aluminium and recycled HDPE desks, with mid-century modern (of the period) Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller ‘Aluminum Group Chair’, made in Italy by ICF. This is a 100% renewably powered work environment. The kitchen includes filtered water, a kettle, toaster, sandwich press, and filter coffee machine. A portable projector can be used against the studio walls (not supplied), and there is a private toilet on site adjacent to the kitchen. The atmosphere is focused yet welcoming, ideal for creative practices rooted in sustainability, environmental ideas, and future thinkers.
Located in the heart of Ngár-go/Fitzroy, TERRAIN is surrounded by a vibrant community. With Brunswick Street and Gertrude Street on the doorstep, you are within convenient walking distance to some of Melbourne's best cafés, restaurants, bars, retail, music, galleries, and other creative studios and hubs. Public transport options in every direction, and the Carlton Gardens just a short stroll away.
