Room Hire – Terms & Conditions 1. Booking & Payment All room hire bookings must be made in advance. Full payment of the hire fee is required prior to access being granted to the space, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received. 2. Hire Duration & Access Hire times include set-up and pack-down. Hirers must vacate the space by the agreed end time. Additional charges may apply if the room is not vacated on time. 3. Bond A refundable bond of $300 is required for all bookings. The bond will be refunded within 5 business days following the hire, subject to inspection of the space. The bond may be partially or fully withheld if there is: - Damage to the room, mirrors, ballet barres, floors, walls, equipment, or fixtures - Excessive cleaning required - Missing or damaged equipment - Breach of these Terms & Conditions - If repair or cleaning costs exceed the bond amount, the hirer agrees to pay the additional costs. 4. Use of Space The room is to be used only for the purpose agreed at the time of booking (e.g. dance class, rehearsal, workshop). The hirer is responsible for ensuring all participants behave respectfully and safely. Maximum capacity must not be exceeded. 5. Care of Equipment & Facilities Ballet barres, mirrors, speaker system, and all equipment must be used appropriately. Equipment must not be moved, adjusted, or removed without permission. No adhesive tape, screws, nails, or fixtures may be applied to walls, mirrors, or floors. 6. Cleaning & Condition The space must be left in the same condition as it was found. All personal items, rubbish, and belongings must be removed at the end of the hire. Any spills must be cleaned immediately. Food and drink policies (if applicable) must be followed. 7. Damage & Liability The hirer is responsible for any damage caused during their hire period. The venue is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. The hirer agrees to indemnify the venue against any claims, injuries, or damages arising from use of the space. 8. Health & Safety The hirer must ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with relevant regulations. Proper footwear must be worn where appropriate. Emergency exits must remain clear at all times. 9. Cancellations Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the booking may be eligible for a refund or credit (excluding bond, if applicable). Cancellations within 48 hoursmay forfeit the hire fee. Bonds will be refunded in line with inspection outcomes. 10. Right to Refuse or Terminate Hire The venue reserves the right to refuse or terminate a booking if: - The space is misused - Behaviour is unsafe or disruptive - These Terms & Conditions are breached In such cases, hire fees and bonds may be forfeited. 11. Acceptance of Terms By booking and using the space, the hirer agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
